About St. Vincent’s Clinic

St. Vincent’s Clinic is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality healthcare to the underserved population of Galveston. We are a cooperative effort between UTMB and St. Vincent’s House, and we run and operate through generous donations and grants provided by students, physicians, and the community we are privileged to be a part of.

Our Commitment to Quality Healthcare

At St. Vincent’s Clinic, we take pride in providing our patients with quality healthcare. Our clinic utilizes an electronic medical record system to safely manage sensitive patient information, ensuring the highest standards of care and confidentiality.

Education and Community

St. Vincent’s Clinic is not just a healthcare provider; it’s also an educational institution. We work to educate future clinicians while offering quality healthcare to our patients. Our unique setup allows our patients and students to directly interact with UTMB physicians, providing valuable learning experiences for the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Serving the Community

St. Vincent’s Clinic goes beyond healthcare. We serve as a hub to connect individuals with various programs throughout the Galveston community. Additionally, we maintain a garden to provide fresh produce to our local residents, promoting healthier living.

Our Mission

St. Vincent’s Clinic is dedicated to providing quality care to unfunded and under-funded patients while offering excellent educational opportunities for UTMB students.

A Free Clinic

In the words of Seymour & Smith: “Our focus is on health caring for the whole person, on providing a service that is free of red tape, free of value judgments, free of eligibility requirements, free of emotional hassles, free of frozen medical protocol, free of moralizing, and last and least, free of charge.”

For Students

St. Vincent’s Student Clinic is an exceptional place to learn and grow. It offers students the opportunity to manage the care of patients with many common chronic diseases while preparing for clinicals, clerkships, and beyond.
