Common Indications:

Fluconazole 150 mg tab

  • Indications: Candidiasis, Tinea, +
  • Monitoring:
    • QTc prolongation: check drug interactions and caution with longer duration of use
    • LFTs: with long term use

Terbinafine HCl 250 mg tab

  • Indications: Onychomycosis, Tinea, Sporotrichosis
  • Monitoring:
    • Hepatotoxicity: Baseline LFTs, monitoring Q6W with any baseline liver disease, if healthy no liver disease, baseline is sufficient if not contiuned beyond 12W
    • Taste and Smell Disturbances: stop if experience
    • Thrombotic Microangiopathy: rare

Clotrimazole 1% Cream

  • Indications: Candidiasis, Tinea, +

Valacyclovir HCl 500 mg tab

  • Indications: Herpes Simplex (treat and suppress), Herpes Zoster, +
  • Monitoring:
    • AKI: Ensure good hydration, monitor GFR in longer-term use
      • Dose adjust for baseline kidney disease
    • Neurotoxicity including neuropsychiatric: stop if experience
    • Thrombotic Microangiopathy: rare
    • GI disturbance
