How to

Vision Referrals

St. Vincent’s Clinic is dedicated to ensuring that our community has access to quality vision care. Recognizing that our patients have diverse needs, we offer three specialized vision screening services. Below is a guide to help you choose the service that best aligns with your vision care requirements.

Choosing the Right Service

Tips for referral
  • Need Glasses? If you’re certain your patient needs prescription glasses and are looking for a comprehensive solution, Sight For All and Prevent Blindness are your best choice. Schedule Here
  • Is your patient in need of glasses but unable to commit to a specific appointment? If you’re uncertain about your patients vision health and they want a quick check without the commitment of an appointment, opt for Prevent Blindness Screenings. This happens on the last Monday of every month from 9 AM to 12 PM. FlyerFunding has ran out for the reminder of 2024. There will not be any Prevent Blindness clinics at STV until January 2025
  • Medical Concerns? If your patient have concerns that might require medical intervention or detailed eye health assessments beyond vision correction, STV Ophthalmology Services are tailored to their needs. Patient must be scheduled for a fundoscopic exam first. (You do not need to place a referral, just ask the front desk to schedule them)
    • ** If you patient needs an urgent ophthalmology evaluation, please message Elizabeth Mclain via Epic or Email to request an urgent appointment with the ophthalmology team.
